Agenda 07/14/2020 Item #16A 9 (Final Acceptance - Price Street Plaza Phase 3)07/14/2020 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve final acceptance of the sewer utility facilities for Price Street Plaza Phase 3, PL20190000906, and to authorize the County Manager, or his designee, to release the Final Obligation Bond in the total amount of $4,000 to the Project Engineer or the Developer’s designated agent. OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners, as Ex-Officio Governing Board of the Collier County Water-Sewer District, approve final acceptance of the sewer facilities, and to release the Obligation Bond in the total amount of $4,000, in accordance with the Collier County Utility Standards and Procedures, Ordinance No. 2004-31. CONSIDERATIONS: 1) The Developer of Price Street Plaza Phase 3, has constructed the sewer facilities within dedicated easements to serve this private development. 2) Preliminary acceptance of these utility facilities was approved by the Development Review staff on May 24, 2019. 3) The sewer utility facilities have been operated and maintained during the required one (1) year warranty period, following preliminary acceptance. 4) A final inspection to discover defects in materials and workmanship has been conducted by staff on June 04, 2020, in coordination with Public Utilities, and these facilities have been found to be satisfactory and acceptable. 5) All sewer utilities are owned and maintained by the developer. 6) Staff recommends final acceptance of the subject utility facilities and to release the Final Obligation Bond in the total amount of $4,000. 7) This final acceptance is in accordance with Collier County, Ordinance No. 2004-31, as amended. 8) Staff is unaware of any issues that would serve to negate the recommendation to release the applicable security. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Executive Summary will have no specific financial impact. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this action. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires a majority vote for Board approval - DDP RECOMMENDATION: To approve final acceptance of the sewer utility facilities for Price Street Plaza Phase 3, PL20190000906, and to authorize the County Manager, or his designee, to release the Obligation Bond in the total amount of $4,000 to the Project Engineer or the Developer’s designated agent.
