June 23, 2020 11 FATHER’S DAY WEEKEND UPDATE Relatively calm at the Beaches this past weekend Heavy traffic at Marco Island Beaches—South Beach and Tigertail with park closures due to capacity and overflow issues City of Naples reports increased utilization, but no issues City & County Beaches 12 Trams currently operational—running 7 days a week—trams equipped with plexiglass to promote social distancing amongst tram riders Restroom construction continues—anticipated reopening of expansion July 1st Boardwalk construction to begin August, which will result in closure of facility for approximately 60 days Clam Pass 13 582 Campers registered at 11 Locations Playgrounds at community centers limited to summer camp use Monday thru Friday until August 8th Community center playgrounds will be open to the general public on the weekends starting June 27th Summer Camps 14 (6) positive COVID cases (Vineyards, Immokalee Sports Complex, Eagle Lakes Aquatics Facility, North Collier Regional Park Sports Camp) Parents have been notified at camps at Vineyards and North Collier Regional Park Facilities were closed temporarily and fully sanitized Contact tracing resulted in several employees being isolated and tested Several referred for testing have come back negative; awaiting results on others Vineyards and Eagle Lakes Aquatic Facilities did not close and programming resumed Immokalee Sports Complex remains closed until staff return with negative results from secondary exposure; NCRP Sports Camp closed for two weeks with reopening on July 6th Parks Facilities COVID Responses 15 Community Pool Attendance June 1st through 19th was 2,074 Fitness Centers visitation June 1st through June 19th was 3,071 Indoor Gyms remained closed due to COVID exposure concerns—working with adult basketball on outdoor opportunities Pools and Fitness Centers 16 28 sites Countywide 11 are dedicated to summer camp use only through August 7th Playgrounds currently open to the general public include: Sugden Regional Park; Pelican Bay Community Park; Oakes Neighborhood Park; Gordon River Greenway 13 are still entirely closed Summary of latest CDC guidance Consult with public health regarding timing of reopening Require normal routine cleaning Continue existing cleaning and hygiene practices Re-open all other playgrounds on June 24th with routine and ongoing cleaning provided and informational signage posted Playgrounds 17 Communication with local leagues with varied results resuming; COVID prevention plan provided for restart; some leagues choosing not to resume until fall Organizations practicing: Azurri Storm; Florida West; Mexi Soccer; Naples Roller Hockey; travel ball (softball/baseball) rentals; Naples BMX Perfect Games Softball held this past weekend with no issues; Challenger Soccer 3 v 3 held previous weekend again with no issues. (4) tournaments scheduled for June and July at NCRP Swim Florida has resumed operations at Golden Gate Community Park Sports Leagues and Tournaments 18 Phase 1: June 1-19 Phase 2: June 15-19 Golden Gate Estates branch target re-open date: July 6th Libraries Have Entered Phase 2 of their Re-opening Plan 19
