A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA MEMORALIZING THE BOARD'S APPROVAL
OF THE JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT SUPPLEMENTAL
AMENDMENT 2 WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION PERTANING TO THE DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION OF
BUS STOP IMPROVEMENTS IN THE RURAL AREA AND AUTHORIZING THE
CHAIRPERSON TO SIGN AMENDMENT 2.
WHEREAS, at the June 13, 2017 meeting of the Board of County Commissioners the Board
approved a Joint Participation Agreement (JPA) with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT)
pertaining to the design and construction of bus stop improvements in the rural area(Financial Project No.
441116-1-94-01)and authorized the Board of County Commissioners,through its Chairperson to enter into
the JPA with the FDOT; and
WHEREAS, the Collier County Board of County Commissioners has the authority to enter into
Supplemental JPAs with the Florida Department of Transportation to undertake a project as
authorized by Chapter 341, Florida Statutes and/or by the Florida Transit Administration Act of
1964, as amended:
WHEREAS, the FDOT requires the Board provide a resolution memorializing and confirming the
Board's aforementioned affirmative vote to approve Supplemental Amendment 2 and authorize the
Chairperson to execute it.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA,that:
1. On May 12, 2020, the Board of County Commissioners approved, by majority vote, the JPA
(Financial Project No. 441116-1-94-01) Supplemental Amendment #2 and authorized the
Chairman's execution;
2. A certified copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded by the Collier County Clerk to FDOT along
with the executed JPA Supplemental Amendment#2.
This Resolution is hereby adopted after motion, second and majority vote this Xt~day of May, 2020.
