A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF ZONING APPEALS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING PETITION
NUMBER SV-2006-AR-9662, ALLOWING A VARIANCE
FROM SECTION 5.06.05 OF THE LAND DEVELOPMENT
CODE, FOR ADDITIONAL GROUND/POLE, WALL, AND
DIRECTIONAL SIGNS FOR THE COLLIER REGIONAL
MEDICAL PUD, LOCATED EAST OF THE INTERSECTION
OF COLLIER BOULEVARD AND LEL Y CULTURAL
DRIVE IN SECTION 23, TOWNSHIP 50S, RANGE 26E,
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA.
WHEREAS, the Legislature of the State of Florida in Chapter 125, Florida Statutes,
has conferred on all counties in Florida the power to establish, coordinate and enforce
zoning and such business regulations as are necessary for the protection of the public; and
WHEREAS, the County pursuant thereto has adopted a Land Development Code
(LDC) (Ordinance No. 04-41, as amended) which establishes regulations for the zoning of
particular geographic divisions of the County, among which is the granting of variances; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Zoning Appeals, being the duly elected constituted Board
of the area hereby affected, has held a public hearing after notice as in said regulations made
and provided, and has considered the advisability of granting a sign variance for one
additional ground sign, five additional wall signs, and eight additional directional signs in
the Collier Regional Park PUD, located east of the intersection of Collier Boulevard and
Lely Cultural Drive in Section 23, Township 50S, Range 26E, Collier County, Florida. The
additional ground sign requires a variance from the maximum number of signs permitted per
street frontage and the minimum distance between ground/pole signs required in Section
5.06.04.C.l of the LDC. The five additional wall signs and eight additional directional signs
require a variance from the maximum number of signs permitted in Sections 5.06.04.C.4 and
5.06.05.B; and
WHEREAS, the Board has found as a matter of fact that satisfactory provision and
arrangement have been made concerning all applicable matters required by said regulations
and in accordance with Section 9.04.03 of the Zoning Regulations of said Land
Development Code for the unincorporated area of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, all interested parties have been given opportunity to be heard by this
Board in public meeting assembled and the Board having considered all matters presented.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF ZONING
APPEALS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that Petition SV -2006-AR-9662, filed by
Trent Eckfeld of Architectural Identification, Inc., representing Mike Mastej for Collier
HMA, Inc., with respect to the subject property described as Parcel 10 of the Collier
Regional Medical Center PUD, in Section 23, Township 50S, Range 26E, Collier County,
Florida, is hereby approved for a variance from the maximum number of signs permitted in
Sections 5.06.04.C.1; 5.06.04.C.4; and 5.06.05.B, with the stipulation that this variance is
limited to one additional ground sign, five additional wall signs, and eight additional
directional signs.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution relating to Petition Number SV-
2006-AR-9662 be recorded in the minutes of this Board.
