Agenda 03/24/2020 Item #16C 3 (FPL Easement - East Naples Community Park)03/24/2020 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve and execute the forms necessary to convey an easement to Florida Power & Light Co., at the East Naples Community Park, 3500 Thomasson Drive, to provide the necessary transformer at that location. OBJECTIVE: To provide the appropriate amount of power needed at the East Naples Community Park, to deliver suitable lighting and power for the existing park. CONSIDERATIONS: In order for Florida Power & Light Co. (hereafter “FPL”) to provide the necessary power upgrades to this location, it is necessary for the County to execute the attached Easement. The easement comprises a total of 1,545.25 square feet, more or less, as shown and described on Exhibit “A” to the Easement form. The Easement form has been reviewed and approved by FPL, Collier County Facilities Management, and the County Attorney’s Office. FISCAL IMPACT: Funding is available in Parks Capital Fund 306. The total cost for recording and obtaining copies of the easement documents will not exceed $25.00. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. - JAB GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Collier County Growth Management Plan. RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners: 1. Approves and authorizes the Chairman to execute the attached Easement (Business): and 2. Authorizes the County Manager or his designee to sign the supplemental FPL forms, after approval by the County Attorney’s Office, and proceed to follow all appropriate closing procedures and to record the Easement in the Public Records of Collier County, Florida.
