Commissioner Donna Fiala Announces Town Hall Gathering

Collier County Commissioner Donna Fiala, District 1, invites Collier County residents to attend her second and
final Town Hall Gathering at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 5, at the South Regional Library, 8065 Lely Cultural
Parkway, Naples, Florida 34113.
“I encourage everyone interested in programs, events and facilities provided by Collier County government to
attend this Town Hall Gathering, where citizens will hear directly from county staff as they address what is
happening in their neighborhoods and in the vicinity,” said Commissioner Fiala. “This gathering provides me
the invaluable opportunity of sharing information by bringing county government up close and personal with
my constituents.”
Commissioner Fiala will provide opening remarks and introduce several key members of the county
administrative team: Nick Casalanguida, Deputy County Manager; Victoria Peters, FDOT Community Liaison;
Jay Ahmad, Transportation Engineering Director; Barry Williams, Parks & Recreation Division Director; Dan
Rodriguez, Public Utilities Deputy Department Head; Anita Jenkins/Michele Mosca, East Naples Community
Development Plan; Jamie French, Growth Management Deputy Department Head; and Mike Ossorio, Code
Enforcement Director.
“I encourage community members to come and hear status reports about present and future projects,
including the Sports Complex, Surtax Projects, 951 Project, US 41 Lighting Update, Triangle Boulevard Project,
Eagle Lakes Community Park & East Naples Community Park, Solid Waste Management, Recycling,
Compressed Natural Gas Fleet, East Naples Community Development Plan, and Benderson Development.
You’ll be made aware of what is going on currently and what to expect soon,” said Commissioner Fiala.
“I look forward to public input as we talk about projects that will specifically impact those living and working in
East Naples,” said Commissioner Fiala. “There’s definitely value in bringing government staff to visit citizens in
their community to understand needs and positions. I prioritize being accessible and responding to citizen
inquiries with helpful resources like staff.”

More than one commissioner may be present and participate in Commissioner Fiala’s District 1 Town Hall
Gathering. Discussion may include items for action at a future Board of County Commissioners meeting.
