PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the National Beta Club is the largest student academic
organization in the nation and is observing March 2 - 6, 2020 as
National Beta Club Week; and
WHEREAS, the members of Immokalee High School Beta Club are part of a
national organization of more than 570,000 fourth through
twelfth grade students dedicated to serve in their schools and
communities, seeking the motto, Let Us Lead by Serving Others;
and
WHEREAS, the National Beta Club promotes the development of student
leaders, by striving for excellence in academics, service,
character, and leadership; and
WHEREAS, the service provided by the Immokalee High School Beta Club has
had a positive impact on our community and citizens for the past
64 years;
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida, that March 2 - 6, 2020 be designated as
NATIONAL BETA CLUB WEEK
IN COLLIER COUNTY
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 25th Day of February, 2020.
