Adjournment Bayshore/Gateway Triangle CRA Stormwater Subcommittee Meeting Minutes January 24, 2020 3:00 p.m. The meeting of the Bayshore/Gateway Triangle CRA Stormwater Subcommittee was called to order by Principal Planner Gino Santabarbara at 3:04 p.m. I. Introductions: Gino Santabarbara, Principal Planner, Capital Projects Robert Wiley, Principal PM, Stormwater Management Allen Schantzen, CRA Board Member, Sabal Shores Resident Steve Rigsbee, CRA Board Member, Triangle Resident Maurice Gutierrez, CRA Board Member, Gulf Shores Resident Debra Forester, CRA Director Chris Mason, FEMA Floodplain Coordinator Kris LaClair, Resident Stable Shores Brian Gay, Minute Taker II. Review of December 6th, 2019 Meeting Minutes Mr. Wiley elaborated on the last meetings review of Becca Ave., and stated that a culvert pipe should be added instead of a dipped driveway. III. Open Issues None IV. New Business A. Repetitive Loss Areas (Chris Mason, FEMA Floodplain Coordinator)  Mr. Mason gave a presentation showing the GIS map with the repetitive loss Bayshore/Gateway areas  The map shows how many repetitive loss claims are in the area (Repetitive Loss Claims are defined as more than one claim within a 10-year period, of $1,000 or more).  A ¼ mile buffer was added.  The claims have to be made to FEMA.  There were 2,276 claims, with 140 to 150 being paid.  Mr. Santabarbara said that the GIS maps would be useful to cross-reference with future projects by overlaying the maps. B. Stormwater Priority Projects: 1. Coco Area Basin Sabal Shores Debra Forester - would need more input on the report, what has been done and has it helped to improve. Mr. Wiley said that he could not give input because he has only skimmed over the report, and needed to take a closer look. 2. Becca Avenue Needs new piping to help catch water, which would help the East End from the runoff. It will cost less than $100,000, and there will be water in the swales to keep the saltwater out. C.
