EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve Agreement No. 4600004128 in the amount of $180,000 with the South
Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) for the Collier County Griffin Road Area
Stormwater Improvement Project and authorize any necessary budget amendments. Project
Number 60196.
OBJECTIVE: To approve Agreement No. 4600004128 with the South Florida Water Management
District (SFWMD) for the Collier County Griffin Road Area Stormwater Improvement Project in the
amount of $180,000.
CONSIDERATIONS: On July 9, 2019 (Item 16.A.12), the Collier County Board of County
Commissioners approved the submittal of a grant application for $225,000 to the South Florida
Management District Big Cypress Basin Local Partnership Program for the Griffin Road Area
Stormwater Improvement Project. The grant was awarded and funding will be used to improve flood
control structures along Griffin, Price, and Barefoot-Williams Road.
FISCAL IMPACT: If the agreement is accepted, a budget amendment will be required to appropriate
funding, in the amount of $180,000 within the GMD Grant Fund (711), Project 60196. A budget
amendment to provide the GMD local match in the amount of $270,000 will be required to transfer funds
from Stormwater Capital Fund (325) to GMD Grant Match Fund (712), Project 60196.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved for form and legality and requires a majority vote
for Board action. - JAB
RECOMMENDATION: To approve Agreement No. 4600004128 with the South Florida Water
Management District (SFWMD) for the Collier County Griffin Road Area Stormwater Improvement
Project and authorize any necessary budget amendments.
