EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve final acceptance of the water utility facilities and accept the
conveyance of a portion of the water utility facilities for the Collier County Agricultural Center at
Collier County Fairgrounds, PL20190000345.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners, as Ex-Officio Governing Board of the
Collier County Water -Sewer District, approve final acceptance and accept the conveyance of a portion of
the water facilities, in accordance with the Collier County Utility Standards and Procedures, Ordinance
No. 2004-31.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) Collier County has constructed the water facilities for the Collier County Agricultural Center at
Collier County Fairgrounds, within dedicated easements (see attached location ma p)
2) A utility deviation has been granted by Collier County Public Utilities Department to allow this
project to deviate from the standard utility acceptance process, skipping the one-year warranty
period (and associated performance security), and going straight into final utility acceptance. Public
Utilities staff justified the deviation because the developer of this project is Collier County, and the
water facilities associated with this conveyance are located within the County Utility Easement
recorded in Official Records Book 5634 at Page 3801, of the Public Records of Collier County,
Florida.
3) All inspections to discover defects in materials and workmanship have been conducted by Collier
County Public Utilities staff, as per approved utility deviation, and these facilities have been found
to be satisfactory and acceptable.
4) Staff recommends final acceptance of the subject water utility facilities.
5) This final acceptance is in accordance with Collier County, Ordinance No. 2004 -31, as amended.
6) Staff is unaware of any issues that would serve to negate the recommendation to approve this final
acceptance.
FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Executive Summary will have no specific financial impact.
However, approval of this Executive Summary will result in the Collier County Water-Sewer District
receiving title to the utility facilities, which has a total gross value of $4,426.31 (no depreciation applied).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality, and requires a
majority vote for Board approval -SAA

of a portion of the water utility facilities for Collier County Agricultural Center at Collier County
Fairgrounds, PL20190000345.
