OBJECTIVE: To approve and execute a Site Improvement Grant Agrecmcnt(s) between the Collier County Community Redevelopment Ageney (CRA) and a Grant Applieant(s) within the Bayshore Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment area (2636 Bayview Drive), CON SID ERA nONS: Annually, the Community Redevelopment Agency's Site Improvement Grant Program is funded at a level that satisfies existing grant obligationsli'Oln prior fiscal years and future grant opportunities, The purpose of the grant program is to provide an incentive to revitalize the area by providing a matching grant to encourage lhe private sector to upgnlde/rehabilitate their property, The residential property grant requires applicants to t)rovide a project cost-match of al least 67% with the rcmaining project dollars supp0l1ed by Tax Increment dollars generated from the CRA District. For FY 08, a tolal of $310,000 is budgeted for the rehabilitation grant program, From this allocation, $224,000 is available for new projects and $86,000 is committed and due to prcviously approved applicants upon satisfaction of all grant stipulations, ,- The site improvement grant application submitted by Frances L. Pallis of 2636 Bayview Drive, Naples Fl., 341 12 was rccommended for approval hy the Bayshore/Gatcway Trianglc Community Redevelopment Local Advisory Board at their Deccmber 4,2007 mecting, FISCAL IMPACT: Sufticient budget exists within thc FY 08 Bayshore Gateway Trianglc Fund (187) to salisry this new grant applieation, A Site Improvcmenl Grant may fund up to 33% of the applicants project cost up to a ceiling of$8,OOO, This site improvemcnt projeel lolals $14,947.00 and the grant request is $4,932,51 which is 33% ol'the estimated project cost. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: Policy 4,7 of lhe Future Land Use Element of the Grovvth Management Plan states that redevelopment plans may be developed for spccific areas within the County. including the Bnyshore Gateway Triangle CRA lhat may consider alternative land use plans, modifications to development standards, improvements to infrastructure and incentives 10 encourage redevelopmcnt.
