EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Approve change order #10 in the amount of $35,945.00 for additional construction
administration, SFWMD well permit and modeling study, site visits by e]ectrical engineer,
reduced water meter size, pool lighting & night use certification and one year warranty
inspection to contract #99-2947, "Implementation of a Master Plan for the North Naples
Regional Park."
OBJECTIVE: To extend construction administration services for the soccer & ball field completion,
SFWMD well permit and modeling study, site visits by electrical engineer, water meter to reduce meter
size in pool pump #1, pool lighting certification and a one year warranty inspection.
CONSIDERATIONS: On May ]0, 2005 item 16D3 the BCC approved Change Order #8 in the amount
of $119,772.00 for additional construction observation, pennit modification and reimbursable. This
Change Order set the BCC approved amount to $1,540,4]9.75. Staff approved Change Order #9 in the
amount of $122,807.74 (7.97%) for extending lhe length of construction observation services as well as
miscellaneous
Owner requested services during the construction phase of the project Staff is now requesting Change
Order #10 in the amount of $35,945.00 for extended construction administration for the soccer & ball
field completion, SFWMD well pennit and modeling study, electrical engineer site visits, reduced size
water meter in pool pump # I, pool lighting certification and one year warranty inspection.
Parks and Recreation negotiated lhe original change order down to a reasonable amount. The
negotiations took additional time, more than was originally anticipated. Additionally, there were several
outstanding design/construction issues in which the final processing of Change Order #10 relied on. The
issues were resolved over a three (3) month course, further delaying the processing of Change Order #10.
The cumulative tolal of Change Order #9 and #10 is $]58,752.74 or (10.31 %). County purchasing policy
requires that any change order amount over 10% of the BCC approved contract be approved by the Board
of County Commissioners.
FISCAL IMPACT: The necessary funds are budgeted in the North Collier Regional Park, Fund (346).
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: North Collier Regional Park is inventoried in the Growth
Management Plan.
RECOMMENDATION: That the Board of County Commissioners approve Change Order #10 to
Contracl #99-2947, "Implementation of a Master Plan for the North Naples Regional Park."

Quality Control In Completing the sport Fields.
The installation of a back up Well for Irrigation Purposes.
Reduce the Impact fees by reducing the meter size for the Pool water supply.
Complete the lighting system for night use.
Have a one year inspection with Contractor to identify any required repairs after the 1" year of the 2 year
warranty as per County General Conditions.
