WHEREAS, on average there are 2,185 children reported missing to law-enforcement
agencies daily: and,
WMEREAS. 58,200 of these children ore victims of non-family abductions, ancJ mere than

WHEREAS, on Friday, May 25, 2008, National Center fQf' Missing & ExploIted Children/Collier
County will Jo;n City and County low enforcement professionals and volunteers at the
Coastland Mall to provide safety brochures and fne Child Ib and fingerprinting to
families In our community.
NOW iHEREFORi:, be It proclaimed by the BDard of County Commissioners of Collier County,
Florida, that May 25, 2008 be designated (J$
National Missing Children's Day
and encourage alf community members to 'Take 25" minutes to teach a child
important, possibly life-saving safety tips as part of the continuIng efforts In Collier
Caunty to prevent abduction and sexual exploitation of children.
