RESOLUTION NO. 2001-266
RESOLUTION REAPPOINTING MEMBERS
TO THE BLACK AFFAIRS ADVISORY BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County adopted Ordinance No. 91-38 creating the Black Affairs
Advisory Board, which provides that the Advisory Board shall consist of seven (7) members; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 91-77 amended Ordinance No. 91-38 by
providing that the Advisory Board shall consist of nine (9) members; and
WHEREAS, there are currently vacancies on this Board; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has provided the Board of County Commissioners with its
recommendation for appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Rufus H. Watson is hereby reappointed to the Black Affairs Advisory Board for a 4 year
term, said term to expire on June 25, 2005.
2. Marian Thompson is hereby reappointed to the Black Affairs Advisory Board for a 4 year
term, said term to expire on June 25,2005.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
