Dear Commissioner Henning,
It is with deep regret that I must resign as an alternate member of the Environmental Advisory Council. Because I am absent from Collier
County for an extended period of time, I am unavailable to attend meetings in person. If in the future the county decides to use audio, web, or
video teleconferencing for the Council's meetings, and if there is an opening on the Council, I will reapply for the position.
Sincerely,
Susan Leach Snyder

anagement to natural resource planning and policy. My training is focused on public policy in land
anagement at all scales. As a former senior planner in county government, it was apparent that
ccessful and constructive decision-making was necessary to adequately address the perspectives of
iverse stakeholders during project review. While there I managed the Rural Lands Stewardship
gram, shepherding the Five Year review through intricate policy analysis and balanced public
iscussion. Further, at WilsonMiller, Inc., I was able to gain insight from the land owner/developer
rspective on regulation as well as the intricacies of project design to meet local, state and federal
odes and laws. While there, I assisted and led environmental permitting on a number oflocal projects
. cluding the Town of Ave Maria. While at DEP, I gained an appreciation for public service and
