Please explain in detail the action you are asking the Commission to take (attach
additional page if necessary):
1. =Our request today in our petition before the Board is to provide
Immokalee childcare relief from Oak Haven SDP -A requirements for the
portion of the land not being acquired and allow us to do our share and
move on with construction as soon as possible. The land split is needed to
execute the SDP. Why should we have to pay for improvements on property
that is not ours?
2. We also request abatement for the impact fee for the addition for four new
classrooms to be constructed to serve 40 additional children in Immokalee.
In addition to the 40 new students will provide 9 new jobs in the Childcare
Center for Immokalee citizens, if relief is not possible then a deferment is
requested for up to seven years to allow us to raise the funds to pay such
fees.
3. This project has increased in cost by over $400,000 due to County
Planning requests in water drainage, sidewalks, parking, new fencing, walls,
landscaping, lighting and other incidentals thus doubling the cost of the
original building project estimates.
Your favorable action on these items will be appreciated by the children and
families in Immokalee for the betterment for all Collier County
