Original document has been signed/initialed for legal sufficiency. (All documents to be
signed by the Chairman, with the exception of most letters, must be reviewed and signed
by the Office of the County Attorney. This includes signature pages from ordinances,
resolutions, etc. signed by the County Attorney's Office and signature pages from
contracts, agreements, etc. that have been fully executed by all parties except the BCC
Chairman and Clerk to the Board and ossibly State Officials.)
All handwritten strike-through and revisions have been initialed by the County Attorney's
Office and all other arties except the BCC Chairman and the Clerk to the Board
The Chairman's signature line date has been entered as the date ofBCC approval of the
document or the final negotiated contract date whichever is a licable.
"Sign here" tabs are placed on the appropriate pages indicating where the Chairman's
signature and initials are required.
In most cases (some contracts are an exception), the original document and this routing slip
should be provided to Sue Filson in the BCC office within 24 hours ofBCC approval.
Some documents are time sensitive and require forwarding to Tallahassee within a certain
time frame or the BCC's actions are nullified. Be aware of your deadlines!

RESOLUTION NO. 2009- 1 0
A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING TO ESTABLISH A
SPEED LIMIT OF THIRTY FIVE MILES PER HOUR (35 MPH) ON
WHITE LAKE BOULEVARD FOR THE SECTION FROM CITY GATE
DRIVE TO COLLIER LANDFILL
WHEREAS, Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, permits the Board of County Commissioners (BCe)
to establish speed limits on roads under its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, White Lake Boulevard falls under the jurisdiction of the BCC; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 316, Florida Statutes, the BCC may establish a speed
limit as may be appropriate upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation; and
WHEREAS, the results of such engineering and traffic investigations indicate that the
recommended speed limit is reasonable and safe under the conditions found to exist.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL YED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
(1) The BCC does hereby establish a thirty-five miles per hour (35 MPH) speed limit on
White Lake Boulevard from City Gate Drive to Collier Landfill site, and does hereby direct the County
Manager or his designee to erect appropriate speed limit signs giving notice thereof.
(2) A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Collier County Sheriff's Office for
proper enforcement of the established speed limits for White Lake Boulevard.
(3) The effective date of the speed limit shall be after written notification to the Sheriff's
Office and upon the posting of appropriate signage.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second, and majority vote favoring same this~th day of
March, 2009.
