The Pelican Bay Services Division Board held an Orientation Workshop on Friday,May 31,2019,
at 8:30 a.m. at the SunTrust Bank Building, 801 Laurel Oak Drive, Suite 302, Naples, Florida

Pelican Bay Services Division Board Workshop
May 31,2019
The PBSD Board held an orientation workshop for new board members. Mr. Dorrill
provided a history, background, and overview of the PBSD. This was followed by a presentation
by Ms. Colleen Greene, Assistant County Attorney, on Florida Sunshine Law and Public Records
Law. She provided a document to all attendees entitled, "Collier County Advisory Boards in the
Sunshine"which was added to the record.
At 9:20 a.m. participants departed the PBSD Office and began a tour which included the
following site visits: (1) the PBSD Field Operations facility at 6200 Watergate Way, (2) the Bay
Colony Beach, (3) the Bay Colony beach dune swale, and (4) the upcoming lake bank restoration
project site at Lake 2-9 at St.Maarten/St.Thomas. Staff provided and discussed the existing PBSD
Field Operations site plan as well as a recently proposed new site plan. A demonstration of our
new beach rake was provided on the Bay Colony Beach.
