PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, the National Animal Control Association has designated the second
week of April each year as Animal Control Appreciation Week; and,
WHEREAS, various federal, state, and local government officials throughout the
country take this time to recognize, thank, and commend all Animal
Control Officers for the dedicated serYice they provide to the citizens
of their jurisdiction; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County would like to
express its sincere thanks and appreciation for the outstanding serYice
the Collier County Domestic Animal SerYices Department provides on a
daily basis to the citizens of Collier County; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes and commends our
Animal Control Officers for the dedication and professionalism they
demonstrate in serYing the community, and for fulfilling the Domestic
Animal SerYices Departments commitment to providing the highest and
most efficient level of customer serYice; and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners wishes to commend each Animal
Control Officer for their serYice, which is in keeping with the long and
distinguished tradition of the Animal Control professian.
NOW THEREFORE. be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissianers of Collier
County, FIDrida, that the week of April 12, 2009 through April 18,
2009, be designated as
Collier County Animal Control Officers Week
and respectfully asks all citizens and county persOfllleI alike to join in
expressing their sincere thanks, gratitude and appreciation for the
many long hours of outstanding serYice and quality performance these
outstanding individuals provide throughout the year to assure the
safety and welfare of all.
