EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners approve Modification Number
8 with attached change orders in the amount of $17,955.00 to contract 06-3962 New
Divisional Software System (Cityview) for CDES to include Transportation Services ROW
Permitting section.
OBJECTIVE: To increase the scope of work under contract 06-3962 New Divisional Software
System (Cityview) for CDES to include Transportation Services ROW Permitting section.
CONSIDERATIONS: On March 27,2007, Agenda Item 10J, the Board of County
Commissioners awarded a contract to Municipal Software Corporation to replace the existing
computer system used by Community Development and Environmental Services (CDES).
Since Transportation Services ROW permitting section mirrors CDES's process and our pennits tie into
one another, it was a logical choice to migrate to the same software application.
1) This change order is specific to Transportation and includes the following additions to improve
our permit process and procedures:
a) System Configuration: $ 9,000
b) QAlTesting: $ 4,500
c) End User Training: $ 1,200
d) Project Management: $ 3,000
e) Travel Cost: $ 255
2) Annual Support & Maintenance (Ongoing): $ 2,400
FISCAL IMP ACT: This executive summary does not request any ad ditional funding or budget
allocations within the CityView software project or wi thin CDES. These change orders will be
paid out of existing funds by the Transportation Division and have no fiscal impact to CDES.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated
with this Executive Swnmary.
LEGAL CONSKDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed for legal sufficiency and there are
no outstanding legal considerations. This item is not quasi-judicial (no ex parte disclosure
requirement), and requires a simple majority vote. This item is legally sufficient for Board action. -

Annual Software Maintenance (ASM) for use by Collier Co Transportation Depts. This change order
also includes the services to add transportation permitting to the CityView Permits and Inspections
PreBuilt. Services include:

Note: The analysis, design and a portion of the project management for adding Transportation Permits
to PreBuilts was covered under CO #10.
Reason for Change: Required to meet client business needs.
SECTION B: IMPACT ASSESSMENT (Estimated Impact to budget, work effort and schedule)
This change order will add up to an additional 60 calendar days duration to the project schedule.
Actual days will depend on timing relative to the holiday season and availability of the data
conversion resources for the Transportation task.
Total Cost $17,955.00 one time; plus Estimated Revised Completion Date: Feb 2009 -
$2,400/yr ongoing (ASM)
