EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to reject all bids received under Bid 09-5231 "Surfacing & Maintenance
of Lime Rock Roads"
OBJECTIVE: That the Board of County Commissioners rejects all bids received under bid
Surfacing & Maintenance of Lime Rock Roads.
CONSIDERA TION: This bid was publicly posted on March 27, 2009, with notices of
invitation to bid sent to over four hundred vendors. Nine (9) vendors submitted bid packages; of
which two were non-responsive. The bid opening was on April 20,2009. During the preliminary
review of the bids, staff determined that the best value for the bulk of services needed for the
County was not achieved. Staff recommends rejecting all bids received under Bid #09-5231 and
reformatting and re-soliciting the proposed services.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: While these contracts have no direct growth
management impact, they are consistent with the County's long-tenn growth plans.
FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with this Executive Summary.

LEGAL CONSIDERATION: This item has been reviewed and approved by the County
Attorney's Office and is a legally sufficient, regular agenda item only requiring a majority vote
for approval-SR T
