A RESOLUTION BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO ESTABLISH A "NO PARKING" ZONE ALONG THE
SOUTHERN RIGHT-OF-WAY OF CALUSA AVENUE FROM THE SOUTHWEST
INTERSECTION OF CALUSA A VENUE AND AIRPORT ROAD S., TO A POINT
APPROXIMATELY 238 FEET WEST LOCATED AT THE NORTHWESTERN
BOUNDARY OF THE PARCEL KNOWN AS 2272 AIRPORT ROAD S., FOLIO
NO. 61780840008, AND ALONG THE NORTHERN RIGHT -OF-WAY OF CALUSA
A VENUE ALONG THE ENTIRE SOUTHERN BOUNDARY OF THE PARCEL
KNOWN AS 3231 CALUSA AVENUE, FOLIO NO. 61780800006, A DISTANCE
OF APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET.
WHEREAS, on May 20, 1980, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Collier County
Ordinance No. 80-47 regulating parking in the unincorporated areas of Collier County; and
WHEREAS, Section Four, Paragraph 2 of said ordinance authorizes the Board of County
Commissioners to adopt resolutions designating certain areas along County roads as being areas in
which parking, standing or stopping are restricted or prohibited, and upon adoption of said resolutions
by the Board of Commissioners, such roads shall be posted with signs specifying the restrictions or
prohibitions of parking, standing, or stopping; and
WHEREAS, a request has been submitted for the establishment of a "No Parking" zone within
a portion of the County right-of-way of Calusa Avenue, which portion is described below and identified
on the map attached to this Resolution; and
WHEREAS, through an investigation of the area by Collier County Transportation Operations
Department, it has been determined to be in the interest of the County to establish a "No Parking" zone
along this portion of the County right-of-way of Calusa Avenue.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the following County right-of-way be
designated as a "No Parking" zone and said road be posted as necessary with signs specifying that
parking is prohibited at any time:
"NO PARKING" is to extend along the southern right-of-way of Calusa
Avenue from the southwest intersection of Calusa Avenue and Airport Road S., to
a point approximately 238 feet west located at the northwestern boundary of the
parcel known as 2272 Airport Road S., Folio No. 61780840008, and along the
northern right-of-way of Calusa Avenue along the entire southern boundary of the
parcel known as 3231 Calusa Avenue, Folio No. 61780800006, a distance of
approximately 150 feet.
