Enclosure 1OA HEARING EXAMINER EMPLOYMENT AGREEMENT: THIRD EXTENSION THIS THIRD EXTENSION AGREEMENT, is made and entered into this 14th day of May, 2019, by and between Collier County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida, hereinafter called "County," and Mark Strain, hereinafter called "Hearing Examiner," both of whom understand as follows: RECITALS: WHEREAS, the parties entered into a Hearing Examiner Employment Agreement dated May 28, 2013 (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement"); and WHEREAS, the parties agreed on July 7, 2015, to extend the Agreement for two additional years; and WHEREAS, the parties entered into a Second Extension to the Agreement on March 28, 2017,thereby extending the Agreement for another two additional years; and WHEREAS, the Agreement by its terms expires September 30, 2019, unless otherwise extended by the parties; and WHEREAS, the parties wish to further extend the Agreement by two years on the same terms and conditions. NOW THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants herein contained, the parties agree as follows: WITNESSETH: 1. The above RECITALS are true and correct and are hereby expressly incorporated herein by reference as if set forth fully below. 2. The termination date of the Agreement as set forth in Section 2 is hereby extended to September 30, 2021. 3. Except as modified by this Third Extension, the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
