positive example for others, Their initiatives will have a significant effect on sustaining the

County Commissioners on July 27, 2004, established the Waste Reduction Awards Program:

WHEREAS, the WRAP award recognizes businessu and institutions for enhanced and innovative recycling
programs: and,
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is pleased to IYcognize Astaldj Construct;"" Corporation
for cClntributing to the greater good of Collier County by promoting "grt:en'" business practices,
thereby helping fD prolong the usable life of fhe Collier County LDndfil/: Qna.
WHEREAS, Asfaldi Construction Corporation demonstrates (I fI"Od ~Qmple for other businesses in the
area: and,
WJ.lEREA$. SDme aspects of their recycling program & environmental initiatives include:
. Pr"viding each staff member with hiM for the easy CDI/ection of recyclable office paper.
Minimizing waste by recycling all p4per, cardbo.ard, aluminum and steel cans, plastics, and

Purchasing ofFice supplies. paper, and cleaning Products made with recycled content or that

recycling program.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida, that
the Solid Waste Management Department and the Board of County Commissioners congratulate
