RESOLUTION NO. 2003- 2.9.L
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD
OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA
CANCEUNG CURRENT TAXES
UPON LAND ACQUIRED FOR
PUBUC USE.
WHEREAS, a lot (.34 acres) located in the Copeland area which is located
within Section 13, Township 52 South, Range 29 East, Collier County, Florida, was
conveyed to the County by Quitclaim Deeds for public purposes without monetary
compensation paid by the County; and
WHEREAS, the Quit Claim Deed from Kay J. Britt, FIKJA Kay J. Varlan,
was recorded in Official Records Book 3348, Page 1223; the Quit Claim Deed from
David W. Fisher, Individually, and as Personal Representative of the Estate of Harold
W. Fisher was recorded in Official Records Book 3348, Page 1225; and, the Quit
Claim Deed from David W. Fisher and Kay J. Britt, FIKJA Kay 1. Varian, as
successor trustees of the Harold W. Fisher Trust Agreement dated December 5, 1996
was recorded in Official Records Book 3348, Page 1227 of the Public Records of
Collier County, Florida, on July 22, 2003; and
WHEREAS, the property will be utilized for future playground purposes by
Collier County, Florida; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Collier County, Florida
approved Resolution No. 93-499 on November 2, 1993, approving a policy to cancel
current real property taxes upon land acquired by Collier County or the Collier
County Water-Sewer District without monetary compensation for public use; and
WHEREAS, Sections 196.28 and 196.29, Florida Statutes, provide that the
Board of County Commissioners of each County of the State of Florida is given full
power and authority to cancel and discharge liens for (real property) taxes, delinquent
or current, upon land held or owned by said County for public use by a governmental
unit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the current outstanding
real property taxes on the property within Section 13, Township 52 South, Range 29
East, Collier County, Florida, and more particularly described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto are canceled as of July 22,2003.

Commencing at the East 1.4 corner of Section 13, Township 52 South,
Range 29 East; thence North 68004'25" West 987.57 feet, said corner
being the place of ending of S-837 as described in Deed Book 42, Page
142 of the Public Records of Collier County, Florida; thence South 420
06'00" West 37 feet; thence South 1024'00" West 174.09 feet; thence
South 88036'00" East 30 feet for a Point of Beginning; thence continuing
