Agenda 04/23/2019 Item #16E1 (Revised 2019 Classification Plan)04/23/2019 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Recommendation to approve one reclassification to the 2019 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan made from January 1, 2019 through March 31, 2019. OBJECTIVE: To maintain a current and flexible pay plan that best meets the needs of the County. CONSIDERATIONS: Pursuant to Ordinance No. 13-40, the Board of County Commissioners has authorized the County Manager to make additions, modifications and deletions to the annual Fiscal Year Pay and Classification Plan, subject to retroactive ratification by the Board. This occurs three times during the fiscal year - in January, in April and in July. There was one modification to the County’s 2019 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan made during the second quarter of FY2019, which was the reclassification of the Procurement Specialist to a Procurement Strategist with no change to the pay grade of the classification. FISCAL IMPACT: This action will have no fiscal impact to the County. GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this Executive Summary. LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item is approved as to form and legality and requires majority vote for approval. - CMG RECOMMENDATION: To approve one reclassification, without a change of pay grade, to the 2019 Fiscal Year Pay & Classification Plan.
