EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation that the Board of County Commissioners, acting as the Airport
Authority revisit Resolution No. 2018-218 as adopted by the Board of County
Commissioners on the Consent Agenda as 16G1 on December 11, 2018, approving the
proposed rate schedules for the Everglades Airpark, Immokalee Regional Airport and
Marco Island Executive Airport for 2019.
OBJECTIVE: To revisit the rate schedules for the Everglades Airpark (X01), Immokalee Regional
Airport (IMM), and Marco Island Executive Airport (MKY) for 2019.
CONSIDERATIONS: Resolution 2018-218 was approved by the Board on December 11, 2018,
consent agenda item 16G1.
Ordinance 2010-10, Section Five C.6 states that the Authority has the power to adopt by resolution a
schedule of rates, fees, and other charges and we did via the consent. After further review I learned that
certain rate schedules had not been utilized and want to exempt the Everglades and Immokalee.airports.
Additionally, I would like the Board to consider giving direction to the County Manager when preparing
future consent and summary agendas that they be delineated by Commission District.
FISCAL IMPACT:
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth impact associated with this Executive
Summary.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is
approved as to form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
RECOMMENDATION: To rescind Resolution No 2018-218 and adopt a new resolution with
new rates.
