RESOLUTION NO. 2005-278
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, TO APPOINT MEMBERS TO
THE PUBLIC VEHICLE ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, the Public Vehicle Advisory Committee was established by Collier
County Ordinance No. 95-66, as amended; and
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 95-66, as amended, provides that the
Public Vehicle Advisory Committee shall consist of five (5) members and one (1)
alternate with not less than two (2) nor more than three (3) of the members being
affiliated as holders of certificates to operate a motor vehicle for hire company within
Collier County; and
WHEREAS, the term of one (1) member representing the non-affiliated category will
expire and there are currently two (2) vacancies for the affiliated and alternate
categories; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice
soliciting applications from interested parties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLUER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. Dale Schultheis, representing the Affiliated category, is hereby appointed to the
Public Vehicle Advisory Committee for a four year term, said term to expire on
September 2, 2009.
2. Reg Buxton, representing the Non-Affiliated category, is hereby appointed to the
Public Vehicle Advisory Committee for a four year term, said term to begin on
September 3, 2005 and expire on September 2, 2009.
3. Richard Schmidt, representing the Alternate category, is hereby appointed to the
Public Vehicle Advisory Committee to fulfill the remainder of the vacant term, said term
to expire on September 2, 2008.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
