RESOLUTION NO. 2005- 214
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, INCREASING THE COUNTY'S SCHEDULE
OF MISCELLANEOUS FEES FOR SERVICES, BY AMENDING SCHEDULE
SIX OF APPENDIX "A" TO SECTION FOUR OF THE COLLIER COUNTY
ORDINANCE NO. 2001-73, (THE COLLIER COUNTY WATER-SEWER
DISTRICT UNIFORM BILLING, OPERA TING AND REGULA TORY
STANDARDS ORDINANCE); SPECIFYING ADELA YED EFFECTIVE DATE
OF OCTOBER 1,2005.
WHEREAS, on December 11, 2001 the Board of County Commissioners
adopted Ordinance No. 2001-73, entitled the Collier County Water-Sewer District
Uniform Billing, Operating and Regulatory Standards Ordinance; and thereby increased
Miscellaneous Fees for Services; and
WHEREAS, Collier County expends these Miscellaneous Fees for Services to
recover the County's actual costs of time, equipment, materials and allocated overhead to
perform specified tasks, including, but not limited to, setting up new accounts, to turn on
or turn off meters at the meter owner's request, recover duplicate processing fees, and/or
re-read meter; and
WHEREAS, these Miscellaneous Fees for Services are reviewed from time-to-
time to try to ensure adequate recovery of these costs, and in accord with this periodic
review, staff recommends to the Board that the recommended Fees be increased as shown
in the attached Schedule Six to Appendix A; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners accepts staff's
recommendations.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. The Board of County Commissioners hereby proclaims, after advertised
public hearing, that these Fees be changed as shown in the new, revised Schedule Six of
Appendix A to Ordinance No. 2001-73, (Collier County's Water-Sewer District Uniform
Billing, Operating and Regulatory Standards Ordinance), which revised Schedule Six is
attached to this Resolution and is incorporated herein by reference.
2, Delayed Effective Date. The attached revised Schedule Six of Appendix
A shall not take effect until 12:01 AM. on Saturday, October I, 2005.
This Resolution is adopted after motion, second and majority vote favoring
adoption this 61Jf.f1.. day of May 2005.
