RESOLUTION NO. 2005-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY TO APPOINT MEMBERS TO THE PELICAN
BAY MUNICIPAL SERVICES TAXING AND BENEFIT UNIT
ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2002-27 established the Pelican Bay
Municipal Service Taxing and Benefit Unit Advisory Committee and provides that the
Committee shall consist of nine (9) members with a residential interest within the Unit
and two (2) members with commercial/business or other interests who are residents of
Collier County; and
WHEREAS, members of the Pelican Bay Municipal Service Taxing and Benefit Unit
Advisory Committee are selected by ballot from the residents of the Unit.
WHEREAS, the terms of five members will expire on March 31, 2005, creating
vacancies on this Committee in the Resident and Commercial categories; and
WHEREAS, the candidates have been elected by the Pelican Bay property owners,
and the Board of County Commissioners has determined that all candidates are
qualified to serve on the Pelican Bay Municipal Service Taxing and Benefit Unit Advisory
Committee pursuant to the ballot results of March 14,2005.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. John J. Boland, Resident, is hereby appointed to serve on the Pelican Bay
Municipal Services Taxing and Benefit Unit Advisory Committee for a four year term,
said term to expire on March 31, 2009.
2. Christopher Sutphin, Resident, is hereby reappointed to serve on the Pelican Bay
Municipal Services Taxing and Benefit Unit Advisory Committee for a four year term,
said term to expire on March 31, 2009.
3. John Domenie, Resident, is hereby reappointed to serve on the Pelican. Bay
Municipal Services Taxing and Benefit Unit Advisory Committee for a four year term,
said term to expire on March 31, 2009.
4. Maurice James Burke, Resident, is hereby reappointed to serve on the Pelican
Bay Municipal Services Taxing and Benefit Unit Advisory Committee for a four year
term, said term to expire on March 31, 2009.
5. Matthew William Mathias, Commercial, Is hereby appointed to serve on the
Pelican Bay Municipal Services Taxing and Benefit Unit Advisory Committee for a four
year term, said term to expire on March 31, 2009.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and unanimous vote.
