EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to authorize a Budget Amendment in the amount of $62,000 within Parks Capital
Fund (306), from East Naples Pickleball, Project 80274 to Community Park East Naples Master
Plan, Project 80368.
OBJECTIVE: Complete Phase II of the East Naples Community Park Master Plan.
CONSIDERATION: The Parks & Recreation Division is in the process of developing a Master Plan for
East Naples Community Park. Master planning and various improvements for East Naples Community
Park are budgeted in Parks Capital Fund (306). Because many of the improvements planned for the park
are related to the pickleball courts, the FY19 funds were deposited into Project 80274, East Naples
Pickleball.
As specific needs are identified, the Division will request Budget Amendments to transfer funds into the
corresponding projects for fiscal clarity and reporting. The division has a proposal to conduct Phase II of
the Master Plan for East Naples Community Park and seeks to fund it from the Master Plan Project,
80368. The Master Plan is scheduled to be completed in November, 2019.
FISCAL IMPACT: Funding in the amount of $62,000 is available in Parks Capital Fund (306), Project
80274.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no impact to the Growth Management Plan from this
action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This Item has been reviewed by the County Attorney, is approved as to
form and legality, and requires majority vote for approval. -JAK
