EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to grant final acceptance of the public roadway and drainage improvements in a
portion of Woodcrest Drive right-of-way, PL20130000344, as conveyed and recorded in OR Book
4842, Page 3226, OR Book 4246, Page 1993 and OR Book 4287, Page 2137 with the roadway and
drainage improvements being maintained by Collier County, and return the developer’s
maintenance security.
OBJECTIVE: To have the Board of County Commissioners (Board) grant final acceptance of the
roadway and drainage improvements in a portion of the right-of-way known as Woodcrest Drive, as
conveyed and recorded in OR Book 4842, Page 3226, OR Book 4246, Page 1993 and OR Book 4287,
Page 2137, with the roadway and drainage improvements being maintained by Collier County.
CONSIDERATIONS:
1) On July 5, 2012, the developers of Bent Creek Preserve and Calusa Pines Golf Club entered into
a Developer’s Contribution Agreement (DCA) with Collier County in the joint interest of
constructing a portion of Woodcrest Drive. The DCA is recorded at OR Book 4813, Page 3036 of
the Public Records.
2) The potable water and sanitary sewer facilities within this portion of the right-of-way have been
previously accepted for maintenance by Collier County Water-Sewer District.
3) On December 12, 2014, the Growth Management Department granted preliminary acceptance of
the roadway and drainage improvements in the subject right-of-way.
4) This portion of Woodcrest Drive includes approximately 3,200 linear feet of roadway and goes
from Immokalee Road to the entrance of the Legacy Lakes project, as depicted on the attached
location map. Approximately 1800 feet of roadway from the entrance of Legacy Lakes to Tree
Farm Road will be accepted at a future date, at which point the roads will provide a connection
from Collier Boulevard to Immokalee Road.
5) The improvements have been constructed in accordance with the Land Development Code. The
Growth Management Department has inspected the improvements and is recommending final
acceptance of the improvements.
6) The County will accept maintenance obligations of the subject right-of-way since this will be part
of the County’s public road network.
7) A resolution for final acceptance of the subject right-of-way has been prepared and approved by
the County Attorney's Office. A copy of the document is attached.
FISCAL IMPACT: The roadway improvements will be maintained by Collier County by the
Transportation Road and Bridge maintenance budget.
GROWTH MANAGEMENT IMPACT: There is no growth management impact associated with this
action.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item has been approved as to form and legality and requires a
majority vote for Board approval. - SAS
