ADDENDUM TO INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR
AGRICULTURAL EXTENSION AGENT SERVICES
THIS ADDENDUM is made and entered into this /V day of S7 p4'"'l b'(
2010, by and between the University of Florida Board of Trustees, a public body
corporate of the State of Florida ( "University "), for the benefit of the Florida Cooperative
Extension Service (the "Extension Service ") established as part of the Institute of Food
and Agricultural Sciences; Charlotte County, a political subdivision of the State of
Florida; Collier County, a political subdivision of the State of Florida; Glades County, a
political subdivision of the State of Florida; Lee County, a political subdivision of the
State of Florida (collectively referred to as the "Contributing Counties ") and Hendry
County ( "Hendry"), a political subdivision of the State of Florida, and constitutes an
addendum to that certain Interlocal Agreement for Agricultural Extension Agent Services
dated November 17, 2009.
WHEREAS, the parties have entered into an interlocal agreement to establish
joint funding between University, the Contributing Counties and Hendry County for
Multi- County Agricultural Extension Agents who provide services to the commercial
agriculture industry and provide support for the urban sector within the Contributing
Counties and Hendry County and to memorialize other responsibilities and agreements
with respect to the Multi- County Extension Agents;
WHEREAS, it is necessary to amend the agreement to include language
pertaining to the effective date of the agreement; and
WHEREAS, prior to the agreement, leave accrual for the extension agents was
figured in accordance with University policies and the parties wish to amend the
agreement to provide that leave accrual will continue to be figured in accordance with
University policies.
NOW THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the responsibilities and rights of
the parties under the Interlocal Agreement, the parties agree as follows:
The following paragraph shall be added to the Interlocal Agreement:
19. Effective Date. The effective date of the Interlocal
Agreement shall be October 1, 2009. October 15r shall be the
anniversary date of the agreement for purposes of Section 3 of the
agreement.
2. The first sentence of sub - paragraph 11.a of the Interlocal Agreement shall
be revised to read as follows:
The University's policies will apply with respect to annual leave and

sick leave accrual.
3. The foregoing change to paragraph 11 shall apply retroactively to October
1, 2009.

be considered an original executed copy of this Addendum, effective the day and year
first written above.
