RESOLUTION NO. 2010 -10
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, CONFIRMING THE
REAPPOINTMENT OF JERRY SANFORD, CAPTAIN WALTER
JASKIEWICZ, AND LT. MIKE JONES TO THE COLLIER COUNTY
CITIZENS CORPS,
WHEREAS, on November 5, 2002, 1he Board of County Commissioners (Board) adopted
Ordinance No 2002-56 establishing the Collier County Citizens Corps as an Advisory
Committee to responsible for advising the Board on a wide range of domestic terrorism-related
issues; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2002-56 provides that this Advisory Committee shall consist
of eleven (II) voting members representing the Collier County Sheriffs Office, Community
Emergency Response Team, Community Emergency Response Volunteers, Collier County Fire
Chiefs' Association, Civil Air Patrol, Coast Guard Auxiliary, American Red Cross, Salvation
Army, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Collier County Veterans Council, and Collier County
Business/Industry; and
WHEREAS, there are currently six (6) vacancies on this Advisory Committee; and
WHEREAS, the Collier County Fire Chiefs' Association, Coas1 Guard Auxiliary, and
Collier County Sheriffs Office have provided the Board with letters of recommendation for
appointments to this Advisory Committee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the appointments to 1he Collier
County Citizens Corps are as follows:
I. JERRY SANFORD, representing the Collier County Fire Chiefs Association, is hereby
reappointed for a four-year term, said term to expire on November 5, 2013.
2. CAPTAIN W ALTER JASKIEWICZ, representing the Coast Guard Auxiliary, is hereby
reappointed for a faur-year term, said term to expire on November 5, 2013.
3. L 1'. MIKE JONES, representing the Collier County Sheriffs Office, IS hereby
reappointed far a four-year tenn, said term to expire November 5, 2013.
