COLLIER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 2004-05, AS AMENDED, REQUIRES
THAT ALL LOBBYISTS SHALL, BEFORE ENGAGING IN ANY LOBBYING
ACTIVITIES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ADDRESSING THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS), REGISTER WITH THE CLERK TO
THE BOARD AT THE BOARD MINUTES AND RECORDS DEPARTMENT.
REQUESTS TO ADDRESS THE BOARD ON SUBJECTS WHICH ARE NOT ON
THIS AGENDA MUST BE SUBMITTED IN WRITING WITH EXPLANATION
TO THE COUNTY MANAGER AT LEAST 13 DAYS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF

Resolution 2005-365: Motion made to have a Pre-Event Curfew on Sunday,
(10/23/05) 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. and Monday, (10/24/05) 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. in the
areas of Mandatory Evacuation and allow the Chairman and/or Vice-
Chairman to work with Emergency Management to adjust the times and
areas of impact post-event - Adopted 5/0
5. Comments
· County Government will be closed on Monday, October 24,2005;
· Recommendation to Collier County Schools to close on Monday, October 24,
2005 (the School Board to announce later today at their meeting)
· No garbage pickup on Monday, October 24,2005
· BCC-Regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 25th has been
rescheduled to Wednesday, October 26th

RESOLUTION NO. 2005-365
RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA ADOPTING AN EMERGENCY
CURFEW DUE TO HURRICANE WILMA.
WHEREAS, on October 20, 2005, the Board of County Commissioners of
Collier County, Florida adopted Proclamation/Resolution No. 2005-363 to Declare a
State of Emergency for all territory within the legal boundaries of Collier County
including all incorporated and unincorporated areas; and
WHEREAS, Hurricane Wilma has presented a threat to the health, safety and
welfare of the citizens of Collier County.
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, in special session, this
22nd day of October, 2005:
1. The adoption of a curfew between 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 23,
2005 through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, October 24,2005, and 10:00 p.m. on
Monday, October 24, 2005 through 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 25,
2005 for mandatory evacuation zone areas which include from the north
county line for all areas west and south of U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail)
including the coastal areas of Chokoloskee, Copeland, Goodland, Isles of
Capri and the cities of Naples, Marco Island and Everglades City.
2. This curfew includes but is not limited to the prohibition of or restrictions
on pedestrian and vehicular movements, standing and parking, except for
the provision of essential goods and services, such as fire, police,
emergency medical services and hospital services, including the
transportation of patients, utility emergency repairs and emergency calls
by physicians. Persons violating the established curfew will be guilty of a
misdemeanor of the second degree, punishable as provided in Florida
Statutes 775.082 or 775.083.
AND THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the
Chairman, or in his absence, the Vice-Chairman of the Collier County Board of County
Commissioners is authorized to evaluate and implement in coordination with the Collier
County Sheriff and the Emergency Operations Center Director, the adjustment of post-
event curfew times and areas.
This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote favoring same.
