A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING SUSAN O'BRIEN TO THE
PELICAN BAY SERVICES DIVISION BOARD.
WHEREAS, Collier County Ordinance No. 2002 -27, created the Pelican Bay Municipal
Service Taxing and Benefit Unit (Unit) and established the Pelican Bay Municipal Service Taxing
and Benefit Unit Advisory Committee (known as the Pelican Bay Services Division Board); and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2002 -27, as amended, provides that the that the Pelican Bay
Services Division Board shall consist of nine members representing the residential interests within
the Unit and two members representing the commercial and business interests within the Unit; and
WHEREAS, there is currently one vacant, unexpired term on the Pelican Bay Services
Division Board for a residential interest representative; and
WHEREAS, one applicant has applied for this position and, pursuant to Section 122- 1662(f)
of the Collier County Code of Laws and Ordinances, no balloting is required for such position, but
instead the nominee's application shall be forwarded to the Board of County Commissioners to make
the necessary appointment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the SUSAN O'BRIEN, representing
residential interests, is hereby appointed to the Pelican Bay Services Division Board to fulfill this
unexpired term, said term to expire on March 31, 2014.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second and majority vote favoring same, this
the 13th day of September, 2011.
