Attachment 9A RESOLUTION NO. 2011 - 48 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPOINTING GARY MCNALLY TO THE ENVIRONMENTAL ADVISORY COUNCIL AS AN ALTERNATE MEMBER. WHEREAS, on May 26, 2009, the Board of County Commissioners (Board) adopted Ordinance No. 2009 -32, which relocated and readopted the Environmental Advisory Council Ordinance in its entirety as a stand -alone ordinance in the Collier County Code of Laws and Ordinances; and WHEREAS, the Environmental Advisory Council was established to advise the Board in matters dealing with the regulation, control, management, use, or exploitation of any or all natural resources of or within the County and to review and evaluate specific zoning and development petitions and their impact on those resources; and WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 2009 -32, as subsequently amended, provides that the Advisory Council shall consist of five regular members and one alternate member who possess either the technical expertise or viewpoints that are necessary to effectively accomplish its purpose; and WHEREAS, there is currently one vacant, unexpired term on this Advisory Council for an alternate member; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners previously provided public notice soliciting applications from interested parties. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that GARY MCNALLY, in the category of technical member, is hereby appointed to the Environmental Advisory Council as an alternate member to fulfill the remainder of the unexpired term plus an additional four -year term, said term to expire on July 28, 2015.
