WHEREAS, Collier County acquired a twenty (20) acre site by Warranty Deed dated December 15, 1964 from J.C. Turner Lumber Company and recorded in the Public Records of Collier County in O.R. Book 180, Page 773 on December 21, 1964, for use as a public cemetery known as the Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens Cemetery; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners adopted Resolution No. 82 -105 on July 27, 1982, which governs the rights of interment, administration, maintenance and development of the Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens Cemetery, said policy including the disposition of indigent deceased; including subsequent policies, and WHEREAS, the Board adopted Resolution No. 2010 -231 on December 14, 2010, which adopted a revised cremation policy and revised the rules and regulations policy which govern the administration and development of the cemetery; and WHEREAS, there is a benefit to the County and to the public if the administrative procedures concerning Deed Certificates for the Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens Cemetery are expedited, while maintaining the safeguards of staff and legal counsel review of such documents; and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners recognizes the benefit of reducing time for Board approval on reviewed and approved Deed Certificates for the Lake Trafford Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
