1. Original document has been signed/initialed for legal sufficiency.(All documents to be DB
signed by the Chairman,with the exception of most letters,must be reviewed and signed
by the Office of the County Attorney.This includes signature pages from ordinances,
resolutions,etc. signed by the County Attorney's Office and signature pages from
contracts,agreements,etc.that have been fully executed by all parties except the BCC
Chairman and Clerk to the Board and possibly State Officials.)
2. All handwritten strike-through and revisions have been initialed by the County Attorney's N/A
Office and all other parties except the BCC Chairman and the Clerk to the Board
3. The Chairman's signature line date has been entered as the date of BCC approval of the DB
document or the final negotiated contract date whichever is applicable.
4. "Sign here"tabs are placed on the appropriate pages indicating where the Chairman's DB
signature and initials are required.
5. In most cases(some contracts are an exception),the original document and this routing slip DB
should be provided to the BCC office within 24 hours of BCC approval. Some documents
are time sensitive and require forwarding to Tallahassee within a certain time frame or the
BCC's actions are nullified.Be aware of your deadlines!
6. The document was approved by the BCC on 12/11/12 and all changes made during the DB
meeting have been incorporated in the attached document. The County Attorney's Office
has reviewed the changes, if applicable.

RESOLUTION NO. 2012 - 2 3 5 16 A 4
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER
COUNTY, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING A SPEED LIMIT DECREASE FROM THIRTY
MILES PER HOUR (30 MPH) TO TWENTY-FIVE MILES PER HOUR (25 MPH) ON
DANFORD STREET FROM BAYVIEW PARK TO HAMILTON AVENUE.
WHEREAS, Chapter 316, Florida Statutes, permits the Board of County
Commissioners to alter established speed limits on roads under its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, Danford Street falls under the jurisdiction of the Board of County
Commissioners; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with Section 316, Florida Statutes, the Board of
County Commissioners may alter such existing speed limits as may be appropriate
upon the basis of an engineering and traffic investigation; and
WHEREAS, the results of such engineering and traffic investigations determined
that the decreased speed limit is reasonable and safe under the conditions found to
exist and it conforms to criteria promulgated by the Florida Department of
Transportation and Collier County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that:
1. The Board of County Commissioners does hereby establish a 25 miles per hour
(25 mph) speed limit on Danford Street from Bayview Park to Hamilton Avenue and
does hereby direct the County Manager or his designee to erect appropriate speed limit
signs giving notice thereof.
2. A copy of this Resolution shall be forwarded to the Collier County Sheriffs Office
for proper enforcement of the established speed limits for Danford Street within the
designated segment.
3. The effective date of the speed limit increase shall be after written notification to
the Sheriffs Office and upon posting of the appropriate signage.
