Delegation of Authority to Act as Certifying Officer
I, the Chief Elected Officer of Collier County, on behalf of the Collier County B d of County
Commissioners, hereby delegate to the Collier County Manager, an official of llier County, all
authority necessary to perform ministerial functions pat as Certifying Office for Collier County
under Section 104(g) of the Housing and Community Development Act of 974, as amended (42
U S.C. 5304 (g)) (HUD Act), in connection with the receipt of istance from the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) under Titl I of the HUD Act. Such
authority hereby delegated includes, but is not limited to, t authority to execute the
certification required under Section 104(g) of the HUD Act; e authority to specify when
appropriate that the jurisdiction has fully carried out its r sponsibilities for environmental
review, decision making and action under Section 104(g)( of the HUD Act; the authority to
consent to assume the status of a responsible Federal Off ial under the National Environmental
Policy Act of 1969 and other provisions of law specifi in the regulations of HUD in 24 CFR
Part 58; and the authority to consent on behalf Collier County the acceptance of the
jurisdiction of the Federal courts for the purpos of enforcement of the responsibilities as
responsible Federal Official.
