RESOLUTION NO. 2013 - 276
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF
COLLIER COUNTY, ACTING AS THE COLLIER COUNTY AIRPORT
AUTHORITY, AUTHORIZING THE SUSPENSION OF HANGAR RENT,
TIE -DOWN, AND OTHER APPLICABLE USE AGREEMENT FEES AT THE
MARCO ISLAND EXECUTIVE AIRPORT DURING THE TIME PERIOD
THAT AIRPORT IS CLOSED FOR THE REHABILITATION
CONSTRUCTION OF RUNWAY 17/35.
WHEREAS, the Marco Island Executive Airport has a single runway; and
WHEREAS, during construction of the rehabilitation of that runway, Runway 17/35, the
Airport will be closed to aircraft operations for a period of up to ninety (90) days; and
WHEREAS, airport tenants will be required to relocate aircraft from the Marco Island
Airport while the Airport is closed to air operations; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that hangar rent, tie -down, and other use agreement fees
be suspended while the Airport is closed to air operations; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, acting as the Collier County Airport
Authority, hereby accepts the recommendation of Staff; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, ACTING AS THE COLLIER
COUNTY AIRPORT AUTHORITY, hereby approves suspending hangar rent, tie -down and
other applicable use agreement fees at the Marco Island Executive Airport while the Airport is
closed for aircraft operations during the rehabilitation construction of Runway 17/35.
THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED after motion, second, and majority vote favoring same
this the 10th day of December, 2013.
