RE: Mary Mackey — Satisfactions of Mortgages
Agenda Item 16D8, December 10, 2013
Item 16D17 was approved on the July 24, 2012 Agenda for satisfaction of two outstanding
mortgages on the property owned by Mary Mackey and located at 402 3rd Street, Immokalee.
The mortgages were to be satisfied by the property being deeded back to the County.
Unfortunately, two things occurred: 1) there was a typo on one of the Satisfactions and it
referenced a different mortgage that had already been satisfied in 2008; and 2) both
Satisfactions were processed for signature prior to the County's receipt of the deeds from
Ms. Mackey's Guardianship. Accordingly, Jennifer Belpedio gave an Attorney's Affidavit to
reinstate the Mortgage recorded in ORB 4078/2246 (copy attached). We have now received
(two) Special Warranty Deeds in Lieu of Foreclosure representing 100% interest in the
property subject to these two mortgages.
As previously discussed, we have resubmitted this matter to the Board and Agenda Item
16D8 was approved at the December 10, 2013 Board Meeting for the Chairwoman to sign
new original Satisfactions for processing and recording.
Once both Satisfactions have been fully signed, please deliver to Recording with the attached
Recording Form. We have requested that the original recorded Satisfactions be returned to
your office.
