PROCLAMA TION
WHEREAS, Republican Women's Week is sponsored by Republican Clubs including Women's
Republican Club of Naples Federated, Southwest Florida Federated Republican
Women, Republican Jewish Coalition of Southwest Florida, Collier Republican
Club, Collier County Republican Executive Committee, Collier County Young
Republicans, Collier County Teen Republicans (TARS), and Coxambas
Republican Club of Southwest Florida, and,
WHEREAS, women from all these clubs have joined together for this event in the same
way that they have joined to support local, state, and national candidates in
every election cycle. These women work to educate voters on important
issues as well as on the candidates and work actively in their
own neighborhoods in the effort of getting citizens out to vote, In
addition, the various clubs and their members help with numerous local
charities within the community. Collectively, these women help to provide
the support that gives Collier County its strong sense of community, and,
WHEREAS, the week includes a major event, Republican Women Make the Difference'
held on Thursday, January 9th, with an evening reception at the Von Liebig
Arts Center with Republican National Committee Co -Chair Sharon Day. In
addition, on Wednesday, January 8th, the South Florida Federated Republican
Women will host an event, and on Friday, January 10th, the Women's
Republican Club of Naples Federated will host a luncheon with Ambassador
Francis Rooney.
NOW THEREFORE, be it proclaimed by the Board of County Commissioners of Collier
County, Florida, that January 5-11, 2014 be designated as
COLLIER COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S WEEK
DONE AND ORDERED THIS 10th Day of December, 2013.
