MINUTES OF MEETING
8 JULY 1991

1. Meeting called to order at 4 : 16 p.m. by Chairman Glenn
Simpson.
2 . Minutes from the June 26, 1991 meeting were approved.
3 . Rich Yovanovich, Assistant County Attorney, addressed the
Board on the Sunshine Law and Public Notice. He stated that
basically if two or more members are together, they can not
discuss any business that could come before the Board at some
later date. He also stated that it would be preferable if
members limited contact as much as possible.
4 . Robert Wiley, Stormwater Management Department, made a
presentation on past, present and future stormwater
management in the County, and he also addressed current
flooding problems being experienced in certain parts of the
County.
5. Peter Comeau, Stormwater Management Department, presented a
brief discussion on the proposed County Stormwater utility.
6. EPTAB members discussed the need for a public information
brochure which would explain the uniqueness of Collier County
and the natural events which will happen on both frequent and
infrequent time scales with hopes that it would allow
newcomers to the County a better appreciation of the County.
7 . Bill Lorenz, Environmental Services Division Administrator,
presented a general overview of the Growth Management Plan
status and the efforts of the Division to date. He also made
a request to EPTAB for guidance on how to implement the
Goals, Objectives, and Policies in the GMP.
8. The Board requested copies of Section I of the Coastal Zone
Management Plan, "Synthesis Of Recommendations Concerning The
Management Of The Coastal Zone" .
9. The next meeting was scheduled on 29 July 1991 at 4 : 00 P.M.
which will be held on the 3rd floor of Building F.
10. Meeting was adjourned by Chairman Simpson at 6: 23 P.M.
