CONSIDERATIONS: The Parks and .Recreation Department manages three main water
facilities; Golden Gate Community Park Aquatics Facility, Immokalee Sports Complex and Sun-
n-Fun Lagoon Wamc Park, along with two in4nctive water playground facilities at Eagle Lakes
Community Park and Vineyards Community Pm.

Historically, the department has used County plmnbing and electrical contracts to service water
park equipment such as pumps and motors. After receiving input from staff associated with the
three aquatic facilities and the Pw'chasing Department is was deemed in the best interest to the
County to implement a preventative maintenance and on-call service contract to identify a
commercial pool contractor to service its entire aquatic equipment program.
The Purchasing Department issued a Bid soliciting proposals for commercial pool care program
on August 10,2010. Notices were distributed to 102 firms and 27 packages were downloaded.
On September 9,2010, one bid was received frmn Commercial Energy Specialists, Inc.
A ward is based on a unit price bid for base bid Collier County aquatic facilities. A bid tabulation
sheet is attached for review.
Staff recommends award to the only bidder who was responsive, Commercial Energy Specialists,
Inc.
