EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Recommendation to approve a budget amendment recognizing carry forward
earned from previous year's interest and current interest earned in
Supervisor of Elections grant fund 37008.
OBJECTIVE: To obtain the Board of Commissioner's approval to recognize carry forward
earned from previous years interest and current interest earned in the Supervisor of Elections
Grant Fund 37008.
CONSIDERATIONS: The Division of Elections receives federal Help America Vote Act
( "HAVA ") funds for voter education and outreach activities, and then distributes these funds to
the Supervisors of Elections across the State. These funds, and any matching funds provided by
the County, must be placed in separate accounts and accounted for individually. Collier County
is the recipient of HAVA funds and the purpose of this executive summary is to recognize the
carry forward and the interest earned in the Supervisor of Elections grant fund 37008.
FISCAL IMPACT: Revenue is being recognized in the amount of $959.21 with $944.51 being
appropriated in carry forward and $15.00 being appropriated in interest in Fund 081.
LEGAL CONSIDERATIONS: This item does not present a legal issue for the Board's
consideration. —SRT
GROWTH MANAGEMENT INPACT: None
RECOMMENDATION: That the Collier County Board of County Commissioners authorizes
the Chairman to approve the budget amendment recognizing $959.21 of carry forward earned
from previous years interest and current interest earned in the Supervisor of Elections grant fund
37008.
