GUIDELINES FOR RECEIVING RECOMMENDATIONS FOR APPOINTMENT OF MEMBERS TO ADVISORY COMMITTEES AND QUASI-JUDICIAL BOARDS. WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has established - • ) ^ � IJ rA various advisory boards and quasi-judicial boards to assist in ��til )✓4 1 Ft�'1-�c,,'S various facets of county business and functions; and Ti—JA WHEREAS, members are appointed to the various advisory committees and quasi-judicial boards by Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners; and WHEREAS, the Board wishes to establish a policy and set forth guidelines regarding the recommendation process for membership on advisory committees and quasi-judicial boards. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF COLLIER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the following guidelines are hereby established for Board of County Commissioners receipt and acceptance of recommendations from the various advisory committees and quasi-judicial boards for appointment of members to such committees or boards: 1) Recommendations will be accepted by the Board of County Commissioners for appointments or reappointments for vacancies on advisory committees from the current membership of the committee. An advisory committee shall be allocated 41 days after notification from the Board office to submit in writing their recommendations to the Board of County Commissioners for the appointment or reappointment of members to such committee. 2) The County Staff is to review and categorize the applicants in areas of expertise and assure that the applicants possess the mini-.:m position requirements for the appointment they are seeking. 3) The following Boards are included in the category of Quasi-Judicial Beards and no recommendations will be accepted or considered from such boards regarding appointments or reappointments for vacancies on such Boards: a. Board of Building Adjustments and Appeals b. Collier County Code Enforcement Board c. Contractor's Licensing Board d. Public Vehicle Advisory Committee This Resolution adopted after motion, second and majority vote.
