CONSIDERATIONS: The Ochopee Fire Control District Advisory Committee had 3 terms expire on December 31, 2009 and 1 resignation on November 9, 2009, representing Port of the Islands, Chokoloskee, Everglades City, and Plantation Island. This 5 member committee advises the Board on the budget and operation of the Ochopee Fire Control District. Members must reside within the taxing district. Terms are 2 years. A list of the current membership is included in the backup. The terms for James W. Simmons (Port of the Islands), Councilman McBeth Collins ( Evergaades City Council), and John L. Pennell (Plantation Island) expired on December 31, 2009. Darcy Kidder resigned on November 9, 2009.
