Christian Kitchen Outreach, Inc. ( "CKO ") is a local non -profit charitable
organization recently established for the purpose of preparing and serving
nutritious meals to the needy at no charge under its Supper with JesusTM'
Program (in other words, it's a Soup Kitchen). CKO Is looking to start
serving approximately 200 meals every Saturday between 5:00 PM and 6:30
PM at Restoration Church located at 7690 Running Buck Court. Since
Restoration Church is setback in the Bucks Run PUD and not visible from
Collier Blvd, CKO would like to place a sandwich board sign (See
attachment) at the entrance of Bucks Run PUD every Saturday (removed by
9:00 p.m. each Saturday night) to advise anyone driving Collier Blvd that if
they're in need of a meal that they can get one at the Church. Other than
obtaining 52 temporary sign permits at $200.00 each per year ($10,400.00
annually), there is no sign permit available for this unique circumstance.
$10,400.00 will feed over 6,300 peoplelI
To establish an exemption, variance or special sign permit (at a reasonable
price) for this situation.
