Item Summary:
Recommendation to recognize staff of Housing and Human Services and the staff and Board
of Directors of Immokalee Housing and Family Services for being selected as a winner of the
2010 Audrey Nelson Community Development Achievement Award for its Carl J. Kuehner
Community Center Project. This award represents the culmination of a national competition
to identify and recognize exemplary uses of Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
funds which best address the needs of low-income families and neighborhoods. To be
accepted by Marcy Krumbine, Housing and Human Services Director and Sheryl Soukup,
Executive Director of Immokalee Housing.
